So cool! I hope it all works out beautifully for you. Portugal was the first country I travelled to outside the US (nearly 30 years ago) and I loved it. I also appreciated that I didnโt feel short there! Obrigada.
Thanks for the wishes. How was Portugal then, 30 years ago? It was more under the radar then. And in the recent years, have become more and more popular, in both tourism and also immigration.
I had a friend who was living outside of Lisbon on the coast (working in Lisbon). So I spent most of my time in this beautiful, laid pack coastal town. That part seemed to me to be so relaxed. Then we drove the highway down to the Algarve and the highway was terrifying! Lol. It was such a whirlwind but I remember it being beautiful and more relaxed than the culture I had lived in.
Thanks, Nishant! Yeah, quite a lot of content out there about the Camino. Nowadays, only a small percentage of people do it for spiritual pilgrimage reason. But, as for us, we are doing it as an exploration and adventure.
Ok back now with more time. My husband and I also have plans to travel extensively in Europe- AND to bike pack parts of it. And to hike large parts of it. While working remotely!!! So Iโll be very excited to follow your journey as we plan ours. Sounds like weโre kindred spirits!
Welcome to Portugal, it will be incredible to have you here.
