: on moving to Portugal is much harder than I thought (4.5 months’ update), the tension between wow and woe, regaining clarity. Plus, a peek at my new collection of line drawing with watercolour art.
Good to hear from you. Did you not write for a while or did I miss some of the newsletters. Anyway good to have you back. Sorry to hear things have been tough. Give yourself time. It will all settle down and you will start enjoying your new identity.
How are you? Are you guys still doing the Zoom meet?
Yes, I didn’t write for two months, had to prioritise my work. Well, I’m glad the absence was noticed and missed by you. 🤓❤️
We will take it a step at time for this adjustment. And as I’ve shared, once we regained clarity that the huge decision of permanency doesn’t have to be made now, we immediately felt the burden was lifted. It’s better now.
Nice to hear from you. Glad you are feeling less stressed. Permanency is scary and if you follow Buddhist philosophy everything is temporary. We haven't met for sometime now. There was one meeting that I missed because I was travelling. I hope to catch up soon.
I've been wondering how you've been getting on. I'm sorry it's been hard but I'm glad to hear you are making progress in things like the local language. I was recently lucky enough to have some overseas travel and spend a month in Europe, I had a wonderful time but it did remind me how challenging it is being in a place where you don't know the local language.
Great to hear from you, Melanie. Hope you are well. And thanks for thinking of me. ;)
Yeah…I had to finally accept I have finite resources, haha, and give my energy to what I need to focus on for my work. I gave a heads up in my August or September’s HopeMail that there won’t be a fixed publishing schedule for HopeMail.
Totally get your experience of the language. I felt that even when we were traveling the past couple of years. But I never knew how challenging it actually is when the tire hits the road. 😅

Life on earth is: temporary, a journey, and a preparation towards eternity.
